[wip] - so many lemons.

I have some faces done for another set of skins based on the last skin set that I made, but I felt like experimenting with colors and features. So I've made up a tentative skintone set that I've been playing with for most of the weekend.
(bigger.)
The first skin is completely covered in freckles from head to toe. The top right skintone has freckles along the chest, back, and shoulders, and the bottom middle one has various moles scattered across the face. You can't see them all in the thumbnail.
Anyways, the skins are based on my 'a mixed-up memory' set, with features blended in from some Glance / Jirka faces. The colors are a blend of Pooklet's actions with Aelia's actions, with minor adjustments by me.
So I'm wondering what you guys think. Do you like them? Should I do any more? Are there features you guys want to see? Any that you don't like, that need revising?
And based on the secret this week about my eye set, I did some quick copy-paste work in photoshop and have them all done - my eyes on Anva's legacy sclera. Nilou is geneticizing / townifying them for me, and making a set of defaults, and then I'll have those up for you to download. The other thing I'm working on is a gigantic set of nosemasks... but that's a huge project and very tedious and I'm only about a third of the way through.

pick pick pick.

Date: 2010-02-02 01:33 pm (UTC)I am so with you on the noses. I noticed that myself when I had them all lined up like that. Thanks for pointing it out. And the desaturating, I can do that. I had built the skins on my mac, and it desaturates everything, so I tried to keep the colors bright to compensate. Looking at them on my sims computer now, they do seem a bit yellow. I will look into this. I did use quite a few yellow and orange actions of Aelia's, so I suppose I can just blend them at a lower opacity to keep some of the richness but tone down more of the color.
Thanks ever so much for actually offering criticism. Most people just say 'that looks awesome!' which is nice to hear but not so helpful, you know? Not that I'm complaining, I'm glad people like them... but it's nice to have people offer some suggestions for improvements. :)

Date: 2010-02-02 01:37 pm (UTC)And thanks for the tip on the shine! I hadn't even noticed how white that spot is. I will be testing to see if I can't reduce that glare a little bit.
The different features are definitely my favorite part. I'm having way too much fun with these. :D
